"I decided to go back to the urologist in Yuma and he told me, if you were my Dad . . . I would send you to Loma Linda."

My cancer was found "by accident". I needed an internist but was send to a Urologist Since I haven't had any checkup in a long time I decided, I might as well. Well the Doc, after looking at my PSA, which had jumped to 9, decided to do a biopsy. He knew very well it would be hard to find so he took "only" 14 snips. When it came back with a malignancy I decided to go back up north to Virginia Mason in Seattle. There they gave me three choices: seed implant, radiation or surgery. I decided on seed implant. But my prostrate was too large so they put me on hormone shots (lupron).

After 10 months of that, my prostrate was still not small enough for the seed implant. I decided to go back to the urologist in Yuma and he told me, if you were my Dad (that tells you how young he was!!!) I would send you to Loma Linda. Well I asked for their 800 telephone number, called them, and the rest is history.
