“I would encourage you to go to LLUCC and relax. They will tell you to take care of your heart, and they will take care of your prostate.”

I completed my treatments 12/28/01 (40 proton).

I had some pain during treatment that turned out to only be gas. I was advised to get Beano or Gas-X. I did, and that was the end of the problem.

One other issue I had was that I had to get up often at night to go the bathroom. I was given a prescription for FLOMAX. And that was all I needed.

I had no other side effects from my proton treatment.  As far as I could tell, they weren't doing anything. That is good! I had no discomfort at all - and no weariness.

I would encourage anyone reading this to go to Loma Linda University Cancer Center and relax. They will tell you to take care of your heart; and they will take care of your prostate.
